I grew up

Not wanting the world to burn

Or my skin

I wanted them to see the reality

Of what we should hold dear

What brings me to tears

And laughter

climate change poem money imagery

But no matter how hard I tried

To push this narrative

They only saw

How much they could make

Little did they know

When the world thrives

We’re the richest of all
